Which domain to purchase?

Simply answer is .com domain. Because it will work globally and it is the most popular one.

But if you're targeting some specific country (say US), then you can go for .us domain. But your website can only been seen in US only.

Now that's the problem.

Suppose a citizen of US is in some other country, then it will be very difficult for that citizen to access your website.

So, if you want FULL PROOF TRAFFIC then opt for .com ALWAYS.

Now let's talk about cost of domain (say .com).

Usually it is around $12.95/year (it depends on hosting platforms).

And one advice that I will give is please select domain according to your niche.

For Example: If your niche is Dog Food. Then you should go for some thing like mydogfood.com, or foodfordog.com, or dogsbestfood.com. Please don't go for mydogfitness.com, yourcatfood.com. Please stick to your specific niche.

Now, to choose a domain name is very simple.

All you need to keep in your mind is this: STICK TO YOUR SPECIFIC NICHE!
